Darren joined Liverpool from the Australian national football side following the 2010 World Cup. The Aussie had spent three years as fitness and conditioning coach with the Socceroos prior to his Anfield move. He also worked as Head of Sports Science for the Australian Football Federation.
Former England international and Middlesbrough manager was appointed as the FA's head of elite development in January 2011, charged with helping bring through better players and coaches to aid the England national team.
As well as keeping the Trotters well fed, Mayur has worked with the English Institute of Sport, supporting Team GB. He's also a senior lecturer in sport and exercise nutrition at Sheffield Hallam University
