Andy Carroll: The glancing header
Liverpool's Geordie giant explains the technique behind a glancing header in this video tutorial
Last season the Liverpool faithful were waiting for Andy Carroll to score his first goal in the famous red shirt following his £35 million transfer.
Edging slowly towards full fitness he made his sixth appearance at Anfield against Manchester City.
He scored his first goal with a spectacular long range effort, before Dirk Kuyt added a second shortly after.
Then, in the 35th minute Raul Meireles whipped in a cross from the left wing. The angled delivery sailed into the box, where Carroll soared above Aleksdander Kolarov to guide the ball past the outstretched Joe Hart. A perfectly executed glancing header.
Add the glancing header to your aerial weaponry with this technique guide from Carroll.
